What I did
Public Service
Edmund Doyah-Tiemo’s commitment to grassroots development is most clearly reflected in his service through the Egbema and Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation (EGCDF), where he held pioneering leadership roles.
Established as a tripartite partnership between Chevron Nigeria Limited, the Delta State Government, and the host communities of Warri North and Warri South-West, the foundation has had a lasting impact on the Niger Delta.
Under his active involvement and leadership, the EGCDF achieved significant milestones:
Peacebuilding: The foundation created a climate of peace and stability, providing Chevron Nigeria Limited with an enabling environment to sustain its operations in the Western Swamps.
Community Development Projects: It spearheaded the establishment of schools, access to clean potable water, and improved health-care facilities, extending these services to more than 26 communities across Warri North and Warri South-West Local Government Areas.
Scholarship Programs: It introduced scholarship schemes at multiple levels, supporting secondary school pupils, undergraduate students, and postgraduate scholars from the host communities.
Through these initiatives, Doyah-Tiemo helped to advance education, improve living conditions, and foster long-term development in Egbema and Gbaramatu, leaving a tangible legacy of service and impact.
